Sig Sauer 239 magazines

Sig Sauer 239 magazines was cleaned and lubed before heading out. I soaked the extractor in CLP at the range and cleaned it there. That didn’t make any difference in the frequency of FTEx.

This is a real disappointment for me. I really, really like the way the Sig Sauer 239 magazine feels and points. The trigger was fine and for the 6 times the pistol actually functioned as a auto-loader follow-up shots seemed to be fast. I was hoping that this was going to be my new carry pistol, but that isn’t going to happen until it’s fixed.

AK-47

Also, be prepared to get out the heavy files or Dremel tool for fitting the AK-47; the dimensions are bigger than you will need for the MAK. This is not necessarily a bad thing as, with careful fitting, you can achieve a very tight but servicable fit. You will also have to buy at least one additional screw for the tang, but, this is something you can pick up in a hardware store. Finally, you will have to make pilot holes for the screws.

Tactical holsters

I just purchased a new Fobus HK1 for my new USPc. Fobus has done some improvements; this new holster is more substantial than my old one, yet is just as light and Tactical holsters.

If you’ve tried a Fobus and didn’t like it, then fair enough. But if you’re simply parroting what you’re read here and elsewhere, do us all a favor and don’t pontificate on a topic of which you have no personal knowledge.

There is obviously something wrong with me, because from what I saw in the video looked as if

it took Two men, the fat one doing the most work, to break the holster.

If someone is trying to get your Pistol Magazines, the first reaction would not be to try and push Tactical holsters

gun clear off of your body, and I understand that you guys think that this man was trying to leather shoulder holster

his gun in his holster, but the bad guy isn’t going to be able to break it off like that unless

you help him.

The fatass in the video probably never wore a revolver holsters before and shouldn’t anymore unless

the rest of you would feel safe letting him help bad guys steal guns from him.

Duh. Get a clue and look closer.

Pistol Holster

Crossbreed IWB is what I’ve carried my P228, G19, and G21SF in with great comfort. The clips on crossbreeds are a wear item, myself and two of my friends who all got crossbreeds about the same time all had to send them back for clip replacement around the two year mark, but we got excellent safariland tactical holsters.

All that said, when I get my next ccw piece, It will be the MTAC.

Are you using it the right way? It’s a retention holster. You have to pull the pistol forward and then up to get it out. Most of the problems I see with these are because the shooter is trying to pull the pistol straight up. The holster is designed to resist that so I can’t grab your pistol from behind gun holsters .

It takes a little practice to make it a natural cowboy holster.

if you plan on foot pursuits, strap it tight or your gun will end up in front of your thigh in about 2 strides. I usually kept mine real snug but unsnapped the top strap if I was not about to jump out because it can get unconfortable when its on for a lTactical holsters.

ankle holster

Dead…. personally, I see no need to spend that kind of money nor wait that long for a ankle holster.

There’s nothing the least bit subpar about the leather shoulder holster in my use; I LOVE it. And the $25 price! And the immediate availability!

The BareAsset does exactly what I want it to do and I am "barely" safariland tactical holsters that I’m even carrying…. which is the main complaint I have with so many Bianchi Shoulder holsters that feel like you’re wearing some sort of a heavily built orthopedic device or something. At $25 and immediate shipping, the BareAsset holds my gun at a nice cant, just behind my ankle holsters, securely, comfortably, and effectively. I’m a very happy camper with them!

Clockwise from top left:

DOPP Regatta Magnetic Money Clip and Card Holder. I used to carry a decent wallet but it became uncomfortable. So, I went thin.

A Leatherman Skeletool, which I highly recommend.

KelTec P3AT with Crimson Trace Lasergrip. Both highly recommended as well.

Extra magazine.

My Droid, which I also happen to love and, apparently, can’t stop talking about.

And a Crimson Trace pocket holster made by Galco.

I pretty much carry that stuff every day. Can carry it all in just about any clothing I choose to wear.

Fobus holsters

By the way, if you can’t draw the gun out of a fobus, what are you doing with a gun anyways?

Do you people carry in your Tactical holster?

The recall, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, involves about 3,200 units with leather or plastic retention straps less than an inch wide. The revolver holsters are inscribed with "GL 2*EMZ," "FOBUS HOLSTERS" and "Made in Israel." They were sold at gun accessory retailers nationwide and on the Fobus Web site between March 2002 and March 2003 for about $40 to $45.

I had picked up a Fobus holster as a knock-around range Bianchi Shoulder holsters. I wasn’t looking to draw quickly from it. I only got it to carry the gun so I wouldn’t have to leave my spare on the range booth’s counter. Like coltshorty14, the Fobus I had wouldn’t let go of the pistol holster . I had to push the pistol to the side, against the revolver holsters, to get it to release. I couldn’t get rid of that holster fast enough. -Since that time I have heard of many instances of the plastic ripping around the rivets…

YMMV, but from what I have seen, Fobus holsters are the poorest quality, mass produced revolver holsters on the market. There are plenty of quality Kydex Bianchi Shoulder holsters out there and there’s a reason Fobus costs half as much as those ankle holster.

Glock 19 Magazine

o what if he does? Does that make him a freak or deserve a wow? Does that make him less of a man or something? Did I miss the memo that shows how they proved hand size directly relates to intelligence or penis size? What about women and kids, are they not worthy of shooting Glock 19 Magazine because their hands aren’t big enough either?

I just don’t understand the stupid comments that posted everytime this subject comes up. Such as..

You just don’t like it because you personally don’t need it. Well goody gum drops for you but there are a lot of people who do.

There is nothing wrong with replaceable grip inserts and it is stupid for any polymer pistol in this day and age not to have them. The problem is people like you who have no problems with the Glocks the way they are seem to think that if they work for you, they should work for everybody and if it doesn’t tough shit.

Well that’s not the way it works. Most companies have already caught on to that and whether you like it or not, Glock 19 Magazines will eventually have to wake up and smell that coffee too. Mark my words, it will happen. Maybe not this year or next but it is coming.

Don’t fret though, all you haters who think the Gen2 or 3 frames are perfection should rejoice because just think about all of the cheap Gen2 and 3 frames that will hit the market when everybody starts trading up the the Gen4 (or 5?) frames!

Taurus magazines

The .500 S&W produced by Taurus magazines are few and far between these days and appear to be discontinued in their product line. I have searched for one for some time and I’m thinking those that have them will hang on to them…but checks here on the E&E and gunbroker.com may find one.

I think you’ll only get into the 8" model in the Taurus magazines .500.

As an aside, I own every 6.5" Tracker model produced (not including any custom guns) by taurus, 6 weapons in all, and they are fine revolvers. Many will discount the maker based on earlier experiences but their manufacturing processes and customer service have improved temendously.

Eotech

Bluedog,

I appreciate you taking the time to post that. Now I know for sure the 3 components will not fit together on a 6920.

Mind you….."DEBORAH" and "JOHN" OVER THERE AT EOTECH CLAIMED THIS WOULD WORK.

But, I was on the phone with her and was suspicious of the validity of what I was hearing because she didn’t even know what the 517 looked like. (I had to explain to her that unlike the 512, the 517 was recessed to fit over an M4 handguard) When she had to relay my question to some guy named "John" in the background who never got on the phone, but told her "Yea, it’ll fit", I didn’t take it seriously! I WASN’T BORN YESTERDAY TO NOT BE ABLE TO RECOGNIZE WHEN I’M DEALING WITH INEPT OR INCOHERENT PEOPLE!

Man am I PISSED WITH THAT COMPANIE’S LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Thanks again for your time and help.

Pistol Magazines

Most of my shooting Pistol Magazines have been with Glocks. Though I love them, I’m living in Washington now, so I’d like something I can just go up some dirt road and let a few rounds go.

Its just a plinking gun, so cheap ammo is a plus. If I do go with the Pistol Magazine, I’ll probably pick up the Tac65 suppressor to go with it.

Any reason I shouldn’t get one?
Any recommendations on where to order?(not interested in the package with the suppressor, I’ll be picking up the suppressor a little later)
Good recommendations on ammo? I hear the CCI High Velocity work well, and are cheap.
Is getting the laser worth it? Can it be seen during the day?

Re: Good trade!
I have had two Taurus 9MM gins. Both operated flawlessly and I shoot the hell outta them. I use Blazer bull-nose ammo for plinking and annoying my neighbors. I bet they might jam if you use anything but Luger bull-nose.

Re: Glocks explode in user’s hands
Glocks are ugly. They look like shit. Sig Sauer is beauty and perfection Baretta is flawlessly functional Tarus is excellent value for the price Ruger is a superb value for toughness functionality and price

AR-15 Accessories and Parts

Military AR-15 SPR = 18" w/ rifle gas. Also a happy switch and laser and what not. I don’t believe there are any standard military rifles w/ midlength which I have been told has to do with limiting the number of different parts in iventory rather than any concern over function. Someone with real .mil experience please correct me if I am wrong on this.

Either will work for a 5.56 rifle. I’ve seen concerns posted that the rifle length might not function well in extreme cold, but I’ve yet to see anyone post that they’ve actually had issues with one. AR-15 Rifle length gas system and rifle buffer is so smooth to shoot I’m not sure I want my carbine anymore. I’ll have to shoot em both a lot more to decide.

Sorry, this is not correct. The SPR uses a midlength gas system.

Pistol Holsters

Actually wraping the pistol Blackhawk Holster in a plastic bag and wetting down the inside of the holster does work. Keep the pistol in the Safariland Holsters till it dries. I took a very well made Pocket Holster made for High Power fit a 1911 Commander like a glove.

I just bought a Galco Cop Slide and the leather is pretty stiff and it is hard to pull out the weapon. What is a good way to break in the Pistol Magazines?

miltsparks recommends the plastic around the Pistol Holsters method (no water). it worked with my Safariland Holsterit’s just enough to loosen new leather.
